Continuing with its consultation process for the ensuing Presidential elections, the government today reached out to NCP chief Sharad Pawar and TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
During interaction, Mr Pawar reportedly told Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu that he would be in the national capital in next couple of days and would be therefore ready for consultations then, BJP sources said.
For his part, the TDP supremo said as a key constituent of the NDA, his party would stand by the decision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the same.According to BJP sources, so far leaders from NCP, BSP, TDP, CPI-M and Congress have been contacted by Mr Venkaiah Naidu.
