VH Deplores Govt’s Silence On Hajipur Rape Incident

Hyderabad, Sept.25 (Maxim News): Congress Party senior Leader V. Hanumantha Rao on Wednesday alleged that the atrocities against girls were on the rise in Telangana. He alleged that there was no action by the state government even after six months of the Hajipur rape incident.

Speaking to media persons, Rao said although State Minister KTR reacted on the issue, the minister didn’t meet the family members of the victims so far. He asked the state government as to why it didn’t constitute a fast track court to speed up the trial of the case. He alleged that the state government had no regard for the BCs of the state.

He said that no compensation was given to the family members of the Hajipur victims. He reminded that those who suffered humiliation at the hands of the rulers of the state in Sircilla incident and punjagutta Ambedkar statue incident belonged to weaker sections of the society.

He asked the TRS Party leaders who always claim Telangana as the number state in the entire country, weather they would agree that the state was also number one in the issue of atrocities against the women. Rao extended his complete support to the party leader Mohammad Azharuddin for the post of HCA president. He also expressed his shock over the death of actor Venu Madhav.(Maxim News)
