Vice Prezident condemns Dera Violence in Haryana and Punjab

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has condemned the violence, erupted in the wake of the conviction of Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in Haryana, Punjab and Delhi yesterday.

Speaking at a felicitation programme here today, the Vice President said ‘violence in any form is not acceptable’.

He deplored that some people are indulging in violence in the name of caste and religion. “We have focused on development but happening of such incidents is unfortunate. Anarchy would not be allowed to be taken place”, he said.
