Vigilance Awareness Week Observed at MANUU
Hyderabad: As part of the Vigilance Awareness Week-2024, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) organized an Essay Writing Competition and a Just A Minute (JAM) session under the theme “Culture of Integrity for India’s Prosperity”. The events were conducted on October 28 by the Department of Education & Training.

Prof. Vanaja Mahadasu, the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of MANUU inaugurated the competitions. She highlighted the importance of integrity and vigilance in nation-building. Prof. Vanaja emphasized that such activities will help to instill a culture of ethical values and integrity among the youth, which is essential for the prosperity of the nation.
During the Essay Writing Competition, students showcased their thoughts on the theme by exploring the role of integrity in societal and national development. The JAM session challenged participants to speak on various topics for one minute without hesitation, repetition, or deviation, testing their wit, articulation, and presence of mind.

The event was organized by a committee consisting of Dr. Rafi Mohmad, Dr. Jarrar Ahamad, Dr. Mohsina Anjum, Dr. Firdau Tabassum, Mr. Muthyala Rao, Mr. Habeeb Ahamad, and Dr. Jameel Ahamed.
In the Vigilance Awareness Week activities, all students, participants, teaching and non-teaching staff, research scholars took the Integrity Pledge, committing themselves to uphold values of honesty, transparency, and accountability in all aspects of life.
