Vijaya Dairy Price Revision: Good News To Dairy Farmers
Hyderabad: The Telangana Dairy Industry Development Association (Vijaya Dairy) has taken a sensational decision. It has announced that it has revised the prices of buffalo and cow milk. Vijaya Dairy collects lakhs of liters of milk from thousands of dairy farmers across the state every day. It has decided to change the prices in accordance with the changing times. With this, it is ready for the change in milk prices.
To this extent, the price of buffalo milk has been increased, while the price of cow milk has been reduced. So far, buffalo milk with a butter content of 7 per cent was priced at Rs. 56 per liter, but it has recently been increased to Rs. 59.50. Similarly, the price of buffalo milk with 10 per cent butter content has been increased from Rs. 80 to Rs. 84.60 per cent per liter. On the other hand, the price of cow milk with 3 per cent butter content, which was previously Rs. 40, has recently been reduced to Rs. 36.50.
Vijaya Dairy has revealed that the price revision has come into effect from April 1. However, although the price change has benefited farmers selling buffalo milk, there is a possibility that the farmers selling cow milk will suffer some loss. It seems that all those selling cow milk are expressing their concerns due to this. (Maxim News)
