The accused have been identified as Mohammad Rahmatulla Sharif (23), Mirza Sohail Baig (23), and Mohammad Danish (27). According to officials, they were found during monitoring of online activities linked to radical content and propaganda. This triggered a coordinated response by intelligence teams.

“Based on intelligence inputs, our teams arrested three individuals. They were found sharing and promoting extremist content on social media platforms,” the official said, adding that further investigation is underway. The statement highlights the focus on digital activity in the case.

Meanwhile, authorities carried out the operation near the suspects’ residence in the Two Town locality on Monday. Intelligence officials conducted the arrests as part of a planned effort. The move followed close tracking of their alleged online behaviour and connections.

Investigation Into Network And Extremist Links Continues

Preliminary findings suggest the trio may be part of a wider network. Officials said the group is linked to around 10 members operating across the country. They are suspected of attempting to influence youth and divert them towards extremist activities.

However, police are still verifying these claims. Efforts are ongoing to establish possible links with terrorist organisations. Investigators are also examining the nature and extent of their online engagement and communication patterns.

Meanwhile, a formal case has been registered. Authorities continue to gather evidence and assess the scale of the network. The focus remains on identifying connections and preventing further spread of extremist content.

The Vijayawada terror arrest case underlines growing concerns about online radicalisation. Therefore, officials are placing greater emphasis on monitoring digital platforms. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
