“Vijayeebhava” Walk-a-thon held at Sanjeevaiah Park
Hyderabad, Feb.5 (Maxim News): KAB Educational Consultancy, in association with TV9, organized Walk-a-thon “Vijayeebhava” aimed at counseling students to reduce their stress before examinations, on Sunday morning at Sanjeevaiah Park.
Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, well-known educationalist Chukka Ramaiah, Board of Intermediate Commissioner Ashok, Income Tax department Deputy Commissioner Venkatesham, prominent psychologists, many students along with their teachers and parents participated in the event.
Addressing the gathering after the walk-a-thon, Chukka Ramaiah exhorted parents and teachers not to pressurize the students to study more and create congenial atmosphere for the children to devout towards their studies in a peaceful manner. He also exhorted the students to exchange views with other students and gain knowledge. He also asked them to write they read several times, eat nutritious food, go to bed early.
Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari said educational standards in government residential schools and colleges have improved after Telangana State came into being and girl students were achieving pass percentage over the boys. Stating that the students of government schools and colleges were outshining their counterparts in the private corporate convents and colleges, Srihari said the State government proposed to open 600 more residential schools and colleges all over the State in the ensuing financial year. He also reminded the words of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his ‘Man-Ki-Baath’ program that students must have freedom in learning.
BIE Commissioner Ashok said parents should bear in mind that every child has creative power and encourage them but not frighten them under any circumstances. Income Tax Deputy Commissioner Venkatesham made it clear to the students that their future is in their own hands and asked them to devote more time on studies. He also exhorted them to keep off bad habits and shun examination phobia.
On the occasion, the speakers appreciated the KAB Educational Consultancy director K Venkatesh and his functionaries for organizing such a good program. Residential school students, teachers and parents of Gowlidoddi and Gachchibowli residential schools and volunteers in hundreds were present. Major Lakshman Rao, Srinivas, Devendar, Shyam, Baru and others of KAB were also present.
