Hyderabad, April 13: Four people died in two Vikarabad road accidents on Monday, including a child.
In the first incident, a couple and their child were travelling on a two wheeler. They were heading towards Zaheerabad from Tandur.
However, a lorry hit the vehicle at Thottapally in Peddemul mandal. As a result, all three died on the spot.
Police said the truck driver later surrendered before the Peddemul police. The vehicle was also handed over to authorities.
Vikarabad road accidents highlight safety concerns
In another incident, a constable died in a separate crash in Yalala mandal. He was riding a two wheeler towards Hyderabad for duty.
However, he lost control and fell into a pit at an under construction bridge site. The accident occurred near Laxminarayanpur village.
The victim was identified as Narasimlu, aged 30. Police are examining the circumstances of both incidents.
Meanwhile, these Vikarabad road accidents have raised concerns over road safety. Further investigation is underway.
