- Success Without Shortcuts message resonates with FICCI Ladies Organisation
Actor Vikrant Massey spoke about changing ideas of success and personal growth during a session organised by FLO Hyderabad. The event, themed Success Without Shortcuts, brought together members of the FICCI Ladies Organisation for an open and reflective conversation. Massey shared personal experiences from his life and career, while stressing patience, effort, and self-belief.
The session took place in Hyderabad on January 06, 2028. Over 250 members attended the event at Hotel Daspalla in Jubilee Hills. Massey was in conversation with Prathibha Kunda, Chairperson of FLO Hyderabad. Meanwhile, the discussion focused on discipline, adaptability, and inner contentment rather than instant rewards.
Reflecting on his early life, Vikrant Massey said, “Money was the reason I stepped out of my home at the age of 16. My goal then was simple—to earn for education, a home, and eventually ₹1 lakh a month. I bought my house at 24. But over time, my definition of success changed. Today, after 21 years in the industry, I am the most content actor.” He also explained that repeated failures often shape long-term success.

In her opening remarks, Prathibha Kunda said, “Success without shortcuts is about doing the right things consistently, even when no one is watching. It may take longer, but it builds credibility, character, and achievements that truly endure.” Massey later added, “Success doesn’t come easily—you have to work relentlessly for it. I don’t have an uncle in the industry who could produce a film for me. For every role, I must perform and position myself as a strong contender.”
Speaking on self-improvement, he remarked, “Shape up or ship out. We constantly update our mobile phones, but we forget to update ourselves. Learn, unlearn, and relearn must become the new normal to survive in today’s competitive world.” He also said, “Good health is a big success.” On money, he noted, “Money does give happiness. It gives confidence—and confidence leads to happiness.”
He addressed social media trends by saying, “I’m not a social-media person.” He concluded by calling his home sacred and naming his mother as his greatest inspiration.
