VRO In Jagtial District Caught Taking Bribe By ACB

Hyderabad, June 10 (Maxim News): Gopu Bapaiah, village revenue officer of Medipally and Rajeshwarraopet villages under Metpalli mandal of Jagtial District, was caught red handed today afternoon by State Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths when he allegedly demanded and accepted Rs 3,000 as bribe from one Mohammad of Bandalingapuram village at the Tahsildar’s office to get the complainant’s land mutated and pattadar pass book issued. The tainted amount was recovered from the accused at his instance.

The ACB sleuths arrested the VRO and produced before the Special Judge for SPE & ACB cases, Karimnagar.

ACB director-general has called upon the general public to contact them on Toll-free No 1064 if any public servant of Revenue department demanded bribe to discharge their legitimate duties. (Maxim News)
