Waqf Board: Badshah Accuses Mafia of Targeting CEO, Grabbing Properties
Waqf Board | Hyderabad, August 11: Telangana State Waqf Board Elected Member Moulana Abul Fateh Syed Bandagi Badshah Quadri has raised grave concerns over the functioning of the Telangana State Waqf Board, alleging large-scale interference by what he described as a “Waqf land mafia” intent on seizing prime Waqf properties.
In a strongly worded press release here on Monday, he outlined a series of alleged malpractices and urged immediate action to safeguard consecrated Waqf assets.

According to Bandagi Badshah, a malicious campaign has been orchestrated by vested interests to remove the Waqf Board’s CEO Mohammad Asadullah and gain control over valuable properties.
He claimed that these elements are using proxy individuals to file cases in court under fake names and addresses, deliberately hindering the work of honest officers committed to protecting Waqf lands.
He further alleged that these culprits have been misleading the judiciary by presenting frivolous petitions without factual or legal basis, suppressing crucial facts, and securing favourable orders unlawfully.
“The misuse of judicial processes for personal gain not only endangers Waqf properties but also undermines public trust in the system,” Bandagi Badshah stated.
The religious leader emphasised the urgent need for transparency, accountability, and protection of Waqf properties, calling for strict action against those involved in land grabbing attempts.
He also stressed the importance of ensuring the safety of officers who are working with integrity to preserve these assets for the community.
The press release serves as a warning about the systemic challenges facing the Telangana State Waqf Board and calls for decisive steps to prevent the exploitation of religious endowments by corrupt networks.
