WATCH | Actor Allu Arjun Released From Chanchalguda Jail In Pushpa 2 Screening Death Case

Actor Allu Arjun was freed and moved out of the Chanchalguda jail at 6.35 a.m. on Saturday (December 14, 2024), a few hours after the Telangana High Court granted him bail for four weeks. The actor was arrested in connection with the stampede at Sandhya Theatre, at the premiere of Pushpa-2, which claimed a life.

According to officials, the actor spent time overnight in prison as the bail formalities could not be completed at night.

Dodging the media battalion, the actor was reportedly moved out of one of the gates where the media teams were absent.

On Friday, a day of fast-moving developments, the actor was picked up by the Chikkadpally Police for questioning, leading to a frenzy of reactions, including politicians slamming the move.

The actor was questioned as he has been named in the stampede case at the Sandhya 70 MM theatre during the premiere show of Pushpa-2 where a woman was killed and her son is battling for life in a private hospital.

The concerned Jail Superintendent and concerned Commissioner of Police are directed to ensure that this Order is complied forthwith,” were the words in the HC’s interim bail order.
