The mob, which had gathered at Bhavani Mandir, turned violent as it marched towards the Tehsil office. They specifically targeted the Starlite Hotel, which was being prepared for its grand opening. The mob pelted the hotel with stones, causing significant damage. They also vandalized a nearby mobile shop.

Despite the presence of the police, the mob carried out their attacks with impunity. The police, who were deployed to maintain law and order, remained mere spectators as the violence unfolded.
