Chief Minister Revanth Reddy invited Vijayalakshmi to the party by covering her with a scarf. On the other hand, Rajya Sabha member K. Keshav Rao, BRS Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiam Srihari, and his daughter Kavya are also set to join the Congress party. It is reported that they will soon join the party.

According to insider reports, should BRS MLA Danam Nagender, who recently joined the Congress, secure victory in the upcoming elections for the Secunderabad Lok Sabha Seat, then Vijayalaxmi is likely to be considered for the Secunderabad assembly seat.

Vijayalaxmi has expressed her motive behind joining the Congress, stating her aim is to secure more funds for GHMC and contribute to the development of the city.

In another setback for BRS, senior leader and Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiam Srihari is also reportedly considering joining the Congress party.
