WATCH | Oath In Telugu By Telangana And AP MPs Including Kishan Reddy And Bandi Sanjay

Delhi/Hyderabad, June, 24 (Maxim News): The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha began on Monday. On the first day, the swearing-in ceremony of the members was conducted by Protem Speaker Bhartrihari Mahatah on this occasion, MPs of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states took oath in Telugu.

First, Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy (BJP) Kinjarapa Ram Mohan Naidu (TDP), Pemmasani Chandrasekhar (TDP), Bandi Sanjay (BJP), and Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma (BJP) took oath in Telugu.  After the oath-taking of the members of the Council of Ministers was completed, MPs from the states took oath in English alphabetical order.

First, when Andhra Pradesh MPs got a chance, some MPs also took oath in Telugu. Among them are Mathukumilli Sribharat, kalishetty Appalanaidu, Daggubati Purandeshwari, Vallabhaneni Balashauri, keshineni Sivanath (Chinni) and Lau Srikrishna Devaraya.  Others took oaths in Hindi and English.  Also, Union Minister Kishan Reddy and TDP MP Appalanaidu attended the meeting on the first day in Panchakattu to promote the Telugu tradition.  Earlier, Kalishetty came to Parliament on a bicycle.  (Maxim News)
