WATCH: Revanth Reddy Forcibly Arrested, Taken Into Custody
Hyderabad, Jan 2 (Maxim News): The Telangana police have taken TPCC Chief and MP Revanth Reddy into custody and taken him to a nearby police station as he has questioned the police who came and forcibly arrest him to take action against those (Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao) who has stolen Rs. 35,000 crores of Central funds meant for the development of Gram Panchayat in front of the media.
Speaking to the police officials at his house before his arrest, the TPCC Chief said that the police have every authority to arrest him if he was found at the Dharna Chowk as planned by the party but they do not have any rights to arrest him or prevent him from performing his duties as the MP. Revanth Reddy informed the police that he is on the way to the Secretariat to inspect some works there. Revanth said that he is also a public representative like KCR and he doesn’t have to inform the police about his duties.
Revanth Reddy says that he also needs permission to go out of the house. Earlier, Khairatabad Corporator Vijaya Reddy was arrested by the police who came to Revanth Reddy’s house. His police have agreed on this matter as well. They demanded to bring her to where she was taken from. Revanth Reddy alleged that Rs. 35 thousand crores were diverted without the knowledge of the Sarpanches. He expressed anger that he should be told on what basis he is being arrested. Later, the police forced him into the police jeep and left from there. (Maxim News)
