We Don’t Want Any Dispute With TS: Anil Kumar
Amaravathi, June 6 (Maxim News): Andhra Pradesh Irrigation minister Anil Kumar Yadav today said that the state government didn’t want any kind of dispute or differences with neighboring Telangana state. He made it clear that the Telangana state did not have any special allocation in Godavari river and added that a clarity was needed on the issue from Godavari river management board. The minister spoke to media persons in the wake of the meeting of the Godavari board to resolve the disputes that arose between the two Telugu speaking states.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that main objective of CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy was to provide water to backward Rayalaseema region of the state. He made it clear that the state would utilize the allocations made to it in Godavari and Krishna rivers and added that they had decided to increase the capacity of Pothireddypadu project to utilize the complete allocations in the Krishna river. Kumar said that they would complete the Polavaram irrigation project by the end of December 2021. He said that opposition leader Nara Chandrababu Niadu, who completely ignored the Polavaram project during his five year long term did not have any right to talk about it now. He said that the Polavaram project was inaugurated by the former Chief Minister of the state YS Rajasekhara Reddy and added that it would now be completed by his son and the present chief minister of the state YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
He alleged that Naidu had not even constructed a single house for the affected families of the polavaram project and added that the opposition leader did not have any right to give marks to the one year long rule of the CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He said that YS Jaganmohan Reddy had become the fourth best CM of the state within a span of just one year while wondering if Chandrababu Naidu had ever secured a position in the top-5 best CMs of the country.
