Weavers Round Table In City

Hyderabad, Feb.1 (Maxim News): Weavers Round Table headed by Prof. Kodandaram to address problems being faced by handloom workers, cooperatives societies and families of suicide victims in the State will be held here on February 5 at 10 am.

Addressing the media at Weavers Central Committee office here today, Dasu Suresh , Weavers United JAC chief said the all-party wide-ranging conference will discuss issues and challenges related to the contemporary weaving system, policies that will soon be introduced in Parliament through a New Textile policy by Union Govt. Dasu Suresh said the round table will invite veterans and intellectuals, who have been working with the Handloom Industry since several years and leaders of all weavers’ cooperative societies for a long time.

The meeting will address the social, economic and political disadvantages and exploitation by corporate textiles, shopping malls.

Greater Hyderabad Convenor, Bomma Narender, Vice Presidents Mandal Randhir, Dugalya Ram Kumar and Sudhakar participated in the meeting. (Maxim News)
