The lorry, carrying eight crocodiles and other rare species, including two white elephants, lost control and crashed into cement pillars on NH-44 around 1:00 PM. Local authorities sprang into action as the accident caused the vehicle to flip, putting the animals at risk.
Superintendent of Police Janaki Sharmila, who oversaw the operation, confirmed, “Two crocodiles managed to escape after the accident, but our team quickly captured them without incident. The other six crocodiles and two white elephants remained secured in the vehicle.”
