Will Soon Join TRS For Development: Sandra

Hyderabad, March 3 (Maxim News): Telugu Desam party MLA from Sathupalli Sandra Venkata Veeraiah today said he will join the ruling TRS in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao soon.

Talking to mediapersons at the TDLP here, Sandra said the TDP has support of people in Telangana, but he preferred to join the ruling party as Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was turning the previous Khammam district green through irrigation project. “I will talk to leaders, followers and workers of the TDP in my segment and join the TRS. I have taken a decision to join the ruling party for development of the segment and welfare of the people”, he maintained.

The Chief Minister has promised to provide irrigation waters to about two lakh acres in the segment from Nagarjuna Sagar and instructed the officials to take immediate steps. “I have been the MLA for fourth time and will develop the segment further”, Veeraiah said. The people gave mandate for the TRS, which was developing the State through various schemes and programs, he said.

He also said there was no personal benefit for him to join the ruling party but joining it for the sake of development of his constituency. Stating that he would resign from the TDP, Veeraiah said the people have rejected the grand alliance in the recently-held Assembly polls and gave mandate to the ruling party. “During my political career, I did not involve in any corruption or irregularities”, he clarified.

The Chief Minister was making true the dream of assured irrigation for Khammam farmers through the Sitarama Lift Irrigation Project. “My decision is driven by my desire for development of Khammam and Sattupalli,” he said. (Maxim News)
