Woman Dies, Husband and Children Injured in Suicide Attempt from Court Building In Medak
Medak/Hyderabad, June 29 (Maxim News): In a shocking and tragic incident, a woman lost her life while her husband and two young daughters sustained serious injuries after the couple allegedly attempted suicide by jumping off a court building in Medak on Saturday evening. The incident unfolded following a heated argument between the couple within the court premises.
According to police, Nadiminti Ramya (24), a resident of Laxmapur in Ramayampet mandal, and her husband Naveen Goud, an auto driver from Daulatabad in Siddipet district, were married for seven years and had two daughters, Ruthvika and Shasvika.
However, the marriage had been strained for several years, and six months ago, Ramya had returned to her parental home due to ongoing disputes. Her family filed a complaint at the local police station, resulting in Naveen’s arrest. He spent three months in jail before being released on bail.
Following his release, elders from both families held a panchayat meeting in an effort to reconcile the couple. Though they agreed to reunite, tensions clearly remained.
On Saturday, the couple visited the Medak court to retrieve Naveen’s seized motorcycle and mobile phone. During their visit, another altercation reportedly broke out. In a devastating turn of events, the couple allegedly threw their two daughters from the top floor of the court building before jumping themselves.
Ramya died instantly from the fall. Naveen and the children were critically injured and rushed to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad for emergency treatment.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the sequence of events and what led to the extreme action.
