The background of the incident traces back to an alleged affair. As per local sources, Rikudu Raju, a resident of Bololupalli village in Mulugu mandal, had been married to a woman named Ganga for over a decade and had three children. However, he reportedly entered into a relationship with Rama. Ten days ago, the couple eloped, prompting family members to track them down.

Upon finding them and bringing them back to the village, Rikudu Raju’s family allegedly took matters into their own hands, targeting Rama with unspeakable cruelty. Reports also suggest that both Rama and Raju were forcibly tonsured (head shaved) as part of the abuse.

Local law enforcement officials have condemned the act and assured that those responsible will be brought to justice without delay. Senior police officials are monitoring the case closely, and several suspects are being questioned.
