Year long Celebrations of Dr. MCR HRD Institute 40th anniversary concludes with gaiety, fervour
Hyderabad, March 19 (Maxim News): The year-long celebrations of the 40th anniversary of Dr. MCR HRD Institute, concluded today in a star-studded valedictory function.
Finance Minister Eatala Rajender, who was the chief guest at the event, inaugurated a 40-year pylon, unveiled the portrait of Dr Marri Channa Reddy, and felicitated outstanding former employees of the Institute in recognition of their significant contributions.
One of the key highlights of the function was the inauguration of the Centre for Telangana Studies by Mr Rajender.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that mere availability of human resources is not sufficient and their effective utilisation, through high quality training, holds the key for the growth of the economy both at state and national levels.
He said that imparting the right set of ethical and moral values, as a part of all training programs, is of great importance for taking the society in the right direction and urged the Centre for Telangana Studies to contribute not only to the capacity building of employees but also that of elected representatives.
Advisor to Government, Planning and Energy A K Goel, IAS (Retd.) called upon the Centre for Telangana Studies to produce transformational leaders for the larger good of the State. He added that the wisdom of those who have participated in the Telangana movement during the last six decades will be of great help in achieving the cherished goal.
Advisor to Government, Finance G R Reddy, IES (Retd.) said that there was a huge diversity across districts and mandals in terms of key human development indices. He advised the Centre for Telangana Studies to take up research studies to explore the determinants of this diversity and come out with enduring solutions. “While many in research centre work in isolation, the proactive support of the Government is a great competitive advantage of the Centre for Telangana Studies”, he added.
