YSRCP Dominates In Municipal Elections, Wins Majority Number of Seats
The ruling YSRCP has emerged as a clear winner in the just concluded Municipal Elections.
Vijayawada, March 14 (Maxim News): The ruling YSRCP has emerged as a clear winner in the just concluded Municipal Elections. The party has shown its dominance in all the districts of the state. It trounced rival political parties like TDP, BJP and JSP in the elections by winning majority number of seats.
The party has always bagged ten corporations across the state. These corporations are Kadapa, Ongole, Chittor, Tirupathi, Kurnool, Guntur , Anantapur and Vizag municipal corporations. The TDP has not even opened its account in Anantapur Municipal Corporation. It also secured a naught in Dharmavaram and Punganoor Municipality of Chittoor district .
The TDP won just one councilor seat in Guthi and 2 seats in Raidurgam municipality. The party has also not opened its account in Tuni Municipality, which is the native place of Former Finance Minister of the State Yanamala Ramakrishnudu. The party has managed to win one seat each in Samarlakota and Ramachandrapuram municipalities of East Godavari districts and two seats each in Pedda Puram and Gollaporu municipalities of the same district.(Maxim News)
