An analysis of self-sworn affidavits of current Chief Ministers has revealed some interesting facts.
According to an analysis by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is the richest Chief Minister with declared assets worth over Rs 177 crore.
Tripura’s Manik Sarkar is the poorest CM with assets worth Rs 27 lakh. Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu is the second with declared assets of Rs 129 crore.
“Out of the all 31 chief ministers analysed from state assemblies and Union territories, 11 (35 per cent) chief ministers have declared criminal cases against themselves,” the report mentioned.
