Fake marriage bureau case one held

Hyderabad, Dec 19 (Maxim News): Cyber Crime Police of CCS, DD, Hyderabad City have apprehended one accused person by name P. Jyothi @ Prasanna, Marriage Bureau organizer who has cheated many innocent people in the guise of marriage bureau with fake profiles. Police have seized 3 mobile phones, Payment Receipt Book, fake Customer profile book and Newspaper advertisement details book from the possession of the respondents.

FACTS OF THE CASE:

Facts of the case are that on 16-12-2016 at 11:30 hrs received a complaint from Sri Pandem Sudershan Reddy, age 33 yrs, R/o Hostel, Ameerpet, Hyderabad stating that he has noticed an advertisement in Enadu News paper Pellipandiri on 20-11-2016 saying “Reddy Late Marriage, 28y, 5’5”, Business 1 LPM, Rents 30K PM, 15 Cr aasthi gala vadhuvuku varudu kaavalenu. Kula/Aasthri pattimpulu levu. Ph. No. 9700418599, 9700783103”. On 22-11-2016, he has called to the said phone number and visited the office of the accused: Prasanna @ Jyothi on 23-11-2016 at Vijaya Lakshmi Matrimonial Services for all castes, Plot No. 9/A, Road No. 10, Behind Sri Laxmi Nursing Home, New Nagole X Road, Hyd. The accused Prasanna @ Jyothi asked him to pay Rs. 6,000/- as registration fees. He paid Rs. 4,000/-. Then, the accused has shown a hired woman who seems to be very ugly. He didn’t agree for that. Then, the accused promised him to arrange another good match for him. But, the accused again shown a hired woman posing as bride. He got enquiry in the locality and came to know that this marriage bureau is not genuine. The accused has been cheating the public with fake & fictitious profiles.

MO. OF THE OFFENCDER

The accused publish advertisements in Telugu Newspapers with fake profiles saying that rich woman (late marriage) needs a bridegroom. Once, the people contact them on seeing the advertisement, the accused take Rs. 6,000/- as registration fees from them. Then, the accused hires labour woman from nearby addas by paying them wages Rs. 200/- per day and shows them to the customers posing as brides. Usually, the customers reject the proposal to marry the said women as they looks to be ugly. Then, if any customers persists constantly, again the accused shows another hired woman posing as bride. Likewise, the accused has cheated many innocent people with fake and fictitious profiles and gained the money illegally.
