KCR Promoting Sports In Big Way: Venkateshwar Reddy

The Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) office celebrated the Telangana Formation Day at its office in LB Stadium on Saturday. SATS chairman A Venkateshwar Reddy hoisted the flag and said that under the able leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao the State will become a powerhouse in sports.

“Our honourable CM is promoting sports in a big way. He had fulfilled his promise of 2 per cent job reservations for sports athletes in all government jobs and athletes from rural areas will benefit through this. He will soon clear the Excise Cess file which will allow Rs 100 crore to sports every year. The State is also encouraging the athletes, who brought laurels to the country at national and international events, with cash rewards,” he added.
