The annual Bonalu festival at the historic Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad will be held on July 29 followed by Rangam on July 30.
Cinematography Minister T Srinivas Yadav on Saturday reviewed the arrangements for the ensuing festivities at the temple. During a meeting with officials of various departments, the Minister said apart from those in the city, many from across Telangana would visit the temple during the festival. He directed the officials to make elaborate arrangements to avoid any inconvenience. Laying emphasis on ensuring hygiene and sanitation, he instructed them to complete all repair works on the roads leading to the temple. Yadav also directed them to re-carpet the roads with paver blocks and SS flooring. “All the works should be completed one week before the commencement of festivities,” he said.
