103rd Convocation ceremony held at MCEME

Secunderabad, 03 Jul 2023: In an impressive ceremony dotted with military perfection, the 103rd Convocation ceremony was conducted at MCEME, Secunderabad on 03 Jul 2023 presided over by Lieutenant General JS Sidana, Commandant, MCEME and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME wherein 20 officers of TES-39 course including four foreign officers from Royal Bhutan Army and Sri Lankan Army were conferred upon B. Tech degrees and embarked on their professional military journey to serve the nation.

The Technical Entry Scheme aims to induct highly trained technical officers into the folds of the Indian Army who are physically agile, mentally robust and can be rightly termed as ‘Techno Warriors‘. TES-39 course commenced on 01 Jul 2018. In the past four years at MCEME, these 20 officers besides being trained as lethal soldiers have also acquired their Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics or Mechanical stream.

The Chief Guest delivered a captivating speech to the young officers and motivated them to embrace the endless possibilities that lie ahead with zeal and enthusiasm. The officers were advised about their impending tasks and their commitment to the nation.

Lieutenant Rahul Lohia was awarded the GOC-in-C ARTRAC trophy for being adjudged the best all round officer of the course and also bagged the DGEME Gold Medal for standing first in the overall Order of Merit. Lieutenant SPS Rathore was awarded the Commandant’s Silver Medal for standing first in the Electronics Stream.

The convocation ceremony concluded with a project display of projects made by these officers in the niche domains of engineering. These offered innovative solutions to present day challenges being faced by the Indian Army and were appreciated by all the guests.
