- CoBRA, Greyhounds conduct joint combing as Maoist leaders targeted
The Telangana-Chhattisgarh Border High Alert has triggered a massive security operation in the forest areas along the interstate boundary. Fresh gunfire and bomb blasts have once again echoed through the dense forests. Security forces have launched a large-scale search operation targeting top Maoist leaders. As a result, tension has gripped the border region.
The focus remains on the forest belt near Karregutta, where forces and Maoists are engaged in a guerrilla-style confrontation. Drones are hovering overhead, while ground forces are moving cautiously through the terrain. The situation has placed the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border on high alert.
Meanwhile, CoBRA forces have identified and demolished secret bunkers constructed by Maoists. Intensive combing operations are underway in the forest areas of Jella, Tadapala, and Doli. During these searches, bomb disposal squads have successfully defused several improvised explosive devices planted by Maoists to target security personnel. However, repeated sounds of heavy explosions in the Karregutta region have caused fear among local tribal villages.
Security teams are reportedly scanning every inch of the forest without pause. They are using drones to monitor Maoist movements continuously. At the same time, Chhattisgarh Police and Telangana Greyhounds are coordinating closely to conduct joint combing operations. Their aim is to prevent Maoists from crossing the state border.
Security officials believe that if the remaining top Maoist leaders are captured, it could significantly weaken the armed struggle. Forces are currently searching the Karregutta area for Maoist Telangana State Committee Secretary Bade Chokka Rao alias Damodar. In addition, CoBRA teams are also looking for Misir Besra in the highly sensitive Saranda forest region of Jharkhand.
The operation continues amid tight security. Authorities remain on alert as combing efforts intensify across the forest corridor.
