11 Percent Fitment To TGSRTC Employees From July 1: Ponnam Prabhakar

Hyderabad, June 18 (Maxim News): Minister Ponnam Prabhakar gave good news to Telangana RTC employees. As per the promise given during the RTC strike, it was announced that 11 percent fitment will be implemented for the employees from July 1. Orders have been issued to release the schedule for the elections of RTC recognition associations. The minister met with TGSRT top officials today (Thursday). Speaking on the occasion, Ponnam ordered the work of Nagarkurnool and Peddapalli bus depots. He said that the foundation stone of Vemulawada and Kathalapur bus stations will be laid soon.

The minister also gave the green signal to Huzurnagar, Kodada and Nagarkurnool bus stations. He issued orders to complete the construction of Mulugu bus station at the earliest. He suggested that a special study be done on the Mahalaxmi scheme. The minister sought a report on the performance of 553 buses belonging to women’s groups. He ordered a comprehensive report to be submitted on the management of 1,050 electric buses in the state. He said that the RTC has 10,173 buses and 38,128 employees, and 61 lakh passengers are served by TGSRTC daily.

Ponnam ordered the officials to complete the pending compassionate appointments immediately. He said that 244 of the dismissed employees have already been given the opportunity to return to duty. Ponnam Prabhakar said that the RTC will present a cheque of Rs. 1 crore to the family of employee Shankar. He said that a job and an Indiramma house have been granted to one of the Shankar family. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that a special meeting will be held soon with the ministers of the South Indian Transport Department. (Maxim News)
