14-Year-Old Boy Booked Under POCSO Act in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, 05 September 2026 (Maxim News): Bandlaguda police registered a case against a 14-year-old boy for allegedly behaving inappropriately with a seven-year-old girl in the area on Friday.

According to police, the boy, who lives in the same neighbourhood, allegedly took the girl to his house on the pretext of showing her chicks. He allegedly behaved inappropriately with the child while she was there.

The girl later narrated the incident to her mother. Following this, her family approached the police and lodged a complaint.

Bandlaguda Police Register POCSO Case

Based on the complaint, Bandlaguda police registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and launched an investigation.

Police said both the victim and the suspect are minors. Their identities have therefore not been disclosed in accordance with legal protections for children.
