Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and first foldable iPhone Ultra could arrive with significant price increases, according to unconfirmed pricing information reportedly spotted on Vodafone Egypt.
Apple is expected to unveil the new models at an event on September 9, with pre-orders reportedly starting two days later. The standard iPhone 18 is expected to arrive separately at a later date.
The biggest surprise is the reported price of Apple’s first foldable iPhone. The device, which is expected to be called the iPhone Ultra, was reportedly listed on Vodafone Egypt at EGP 155,750 before the page was removed.
iPhone Ultra Could Cost Around $2,000
For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at EGP 94,400 on Vodafone Egypt. The reported Ultra price is therefore around 65% higher.
Based on the previous iPhone 17 Pro Max launch prices, a similar increase would put the iPhone Ultra at roughly $1,980 in the US, £1,980 in the UK, €2,395 in Europe and ₹2,47,500 in India.
However, these figures are only estimates. Taxes, regional pricing and currency differences mean that direct conversions do not necessarily reflect Apple’s final prices.
Another leak suggests the 256GB iPhone Ultra could cost AUD 3,700, while the 512GB and 1TB versions may be priced at AUD 4,200 and AUD 4,700, respectively.
The 256GB iPhone 17 Pro Max costs AUD 2,200 in comparison. This would put the entry-level Ultra at about 68% above the current Pro Max price.
Based on the leaked figures, the US price of the entry-level iPhone Ultra could reach around $2,000.
The same Vodafone Egypt leak reportedly listed the iPhone 18 Pro at EGP 98,000 and the iPhone 18 Pro Max at EGP 105,000.
Vodafone’s reported prices for the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are EGP 88,800 and EGP 94,400. That suggests price increases of around 10% for the Pro and 11% for the Pro Max.
Using a 10% increase as a rough estimate, the iPhone 18 Pro could start at approximately $1,210, £1,210, €1,430 and ₹1,48,500.
For the iPhone 18 Pro Max, the estimated launch price could be around $1,320, £1,320, €1,600 and ₹1,65,000.
These figures remain speculative until Apple officially announces the devices and their regional prices.
The expected price increase could also reflect higher production costs. TrendForce estimates cited in the report suggest that the bill of materials for the iPhone 18 Pro could be around 40% higher than that of its predecessor.
Apple is yet to confirm the final names, specifications or prices of the upcoming devices. The company’s September event is expected to provide the first official details.
