1400 Ventilators Given To Telangana: Kishan Reddy
Hyderabad, May 21 (Maxim News): Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G. Kishan Reddy today said that the Central government had given 1400 ventilators to the state so far. He also said that the ventilators were given under PMCARES funds.
In a statement, Reddy said that the ventilators had been dispatched to various Government Hospitals in Telangana. He said that they had also given the ventilators to those hospitals which do not have even a single ventilator during the ongoing Covid pandemic. “In our country, since independence until past 8 months, we had only 1900 ventilators. They were also imported from different countries. But today through the initiative of Make in India, the Government Hospitals across the country have been provided with 5000 ventilators from PMCARES funds,” he noted .
Reddy said that Telangana government was getting all sorts of aid and cooperation from Central government in order to control and contain the Covid pandemic through provision of Oxygen Cylinders, Establishment of PSA Oygen Plants, Ventilators, Vaccines, PPE Kits, N-95 Masks and free ration to the needy poor.
