19 Sheep Killed After Coming Under Train In Kamareddy
Kamareddy/Hyderabad, May 26 (Maxim News): Nineteen sheep died after being hit by a train in Adloor First Ward under Kamareddy municipality on Tuesday morning.
According to local residents, Kurma Arelli Lakshmi, a shepherd from the village, was taking her flock for grazing when the incident occurred near a liquor shop in the village.
As the sheep approached the railway track area, a passing train reportedly blew a loud horn. Frightened by the sudden sound, the sheep ran in panic and rushed onto the railway track.
In the chaos, 19 sheep came under the moving train and died on the spot. The dead animals were found scattered near the track, leaving the shepherd in shock.
Farmer suffers heavy financial loss
Villagers said the incident caused a financial loss of around Rs 1.5 lakh to the shepherd. Local residents urged the government to provide compensation and financial assistance to the affected farmers.
