2.5% Increase In DA To TGSRTC Employees: Govt’s Key Decision
Hyderabad, Mar 7 (Maxim News): The government has decided to increase the DA of TGSRTC employees. Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced a 2.5 percent DA. Orders to this effect were issued today (Friday).
With the announcement of the DA, an additional burden of Rs. 3.6 crore will be imposed on the RTC every month. The government has also decided to immediately pay the DAs that have been pending for many years. It was revealed that 30 thousand RTC employees are benefiting from the increase in DA.
Meanwhile, it is known that RTC workers have recently given strike notices. RTC employees have placed about 22 demands before the government. The main demand among them is a DA increase. In this order, the problem seems to have been solved with the increase in DA. These orders will come into effect from today. Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has issued orders to the RTC management to pay DA immediately. There have been proposals to increase DA for many years. Trade union leaders have been constantly concerned that RTC employees are facing difficulties with the meager salaries they receive due to the lack of a DA increase. In this order, RTC employees are expressing happiness that the government has finally decided to increase DA by two and half percent.
Also, on the occasion of Women’s Day, the government will launch Indira Mahila Shakti buses tomorrow (Saturday). In the first phase, 150 buses were brought into the RTC on a rental basis through the Mandal Mahila Samakhya Sanghas. In the next 450 buses, a total of 600 buses, through the women’s associations. The Indira Mahila Shakti buses will be formally launched by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy tomorrow.
