Hyderabad, June 23: The National Testing Agency announced the results of the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate 2026 on Tuesday, with one candidate securing 100 percentile in four out of five selected subjects.
According to the agency, 22 candidates achieved 100 percentile in three subjects. Another 180 candidates scored 100 percentile in two subjects, while 3,214 candidates secured 100 percentile in one subject.
The NTA described the four subject performance as the highest achievement recorded in the examination.
CUET UG 2026 Results Show Strong Performance Across Categories
The agency also released the gender wise list of the top 10 candidates based on cumulative NTA scores across five subjects.
The highest scoring female candidate recorded 1232.19, slightly ahead of the top male score of 1230.82.
The second and third highest female scores were 1203.78 and 1202.15. The corresponding male scores stood at 1207.21 and 1205.96.
A total of 15,68,867 unique candidates registered for CUET UG 2026. Of these, 11,64,098 appeared for the examination.
Among registered candidates, 7,94,257 were male, 7,74,607 female and three belonged to the third gender category. Among those who appeared, 5,78,500 were male, 5,85,596 female and two were third gender candidates.
Category wise registrations included 6,86,419 General category candidates, 5,28,838 OBC Non Creamy Layer candidates, 1,71,397 Scheduled Caste candidates, 95,464 Scheduled Tribe candidates and 86,749 Economically Weaker Section candidates.
The examination was conducted in computer based mode across 321 cities, including 13 international locations.
Candidates were allowed to select up to five subjects from 37 available options, including 13 languages, 23 domain subjects and one General Aptitude Test.
CUET UG 2026 was conducted from May 11 to May 31 and again on June 6 and 7 for admissions into undergraduate programmes for the 2026 to 27 academic session.
The NTA stated that results were prepared using final answer keys verified by subject experts. It also noted that the result timeline was shortened and completed within 16 days after the examination period ended.
Candidates can access and download scorecards using their application number and password through the official CUET portal.
