25 Kg Ganja Seized In Hyderabad, Three Arrested By Task Force
Hyderabad, July 26 (Maxim News): In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force apprehended three individuals in Bandlaguda on Friday and seized 25 kilograms of ganja from their possession.
The arrested individuals were identified as Mohammed Shameerulla Baig (35), B. Rajesh (26), and S. Naresh (29) — all residents of East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh.
According to police officials, the trio had procured the contraband from a person named Ramu in Rajahmundry. They then transported the ganja to Hyderabad in a car with the intent to sell it to local buyers. However, acting on a credible tip-off, the Task Force intercepted the suspects at Bandlaguda and confiscated the narcotics and the vehicle used in the transportation.
The seized material has been handed over to the concerned police station, and a case has been registered. Further investigations are underway to identify other potential members of the drug network.
Authorities reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations across the city, urging citizens to report any suspicious activities related to drug trafficking.
