Hyderabad, July 26 (Maxim News): The Hyderabad City Police has announced 116 temporary vacancies for Special Police Officers (SPOs), offering an opportunity to ex-servicemen, ex-paramilitary personnel, and recently retired police officers from Telangana to serve in a crucial support role.
The appointments will be made for temporary positions during July 2025, with the last date for submission of applications being August 5, 2025, at 5 PM.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Ex-servicemen below 58 years of age.
- Ex-paramilitary and retired police personnel who are under 61 years of age and have retired within the last two years.
- Must be permanent residents of Telangana with valid residential proof.
Honorarium and Job Terms
- Selected SPOs will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹26,000.
- These are contractual positions with no provision for paid leave.

- Discharge or retirement certificate
- Aadhaar card
- PAN card
- Valid address proof
- Any other relevant service or identity documents
