26 Year-Old Madani Masjid Demolished In Uttar Pradesh
Kushinagar/Hyderabad, Feb 9 (Maxim News): The 26 year-old madani Masjid has been demolished in Kushinagar, UP. 6 bulldozers have been deployed to demolish the mosque and police from 10 police stations and a battalion of PAC have been deployed for security.
Barricades have been erected around the mosque and an area of 500 meters has been sealed. The action started at 10 am, as the court’s stay on the mosque ended on February 8. The administration started the action on February 9.
This mosque was built on government land in 1999. At that time permission was given to build only a two-storey building, but three floors and the ground floor were constructed.
In 1999 itself, a Hindu leader had complained about this illegal construction, but no action was taken then. After this, an investigation into the construction of the mosque was started on 18th December 2023.
After investigation, on 23rd December 2023, the Municipal Corporation sent three notices to the management of the mosque, but no documents were presented. After this, considering it an illegal construction, an order was given to demolish it.
The managers of the mosque had challenged it in the High Court, where a stay order was obtained till 8 February. As soon as the stay ended, the administration started taking action. (Maxim News)
