3 gates of Musi project lifted
Nalgonda, June 27: After the water level reached the maximum storage capacity, the project engineers lowered three of the crest gates of the Musi project. Compared to the complete reservoir level of 645 feet, the water level in the project reached 644.6 feet. In contrast to the overall storage capacity of 4.46 TMCs, water storage as of today reached 4.36 TMCs.
Four days prior, the project’s administrators had warned the residents of the downstream areas that the project’s gates may be opened at any time.
The project gates were not opened as the project’s inflow decreased.
The project’s gates were opened by project administrators after the project’s inflow surged once more as a result of rain in the last two days.
