31 Women, 4 Transgenders Involved In Street Prostitution Apprehended

Hyderabad, Oct 24 (Maxim News): In a joint operation conducted on the night of October 23, The operation focused on preventing street prostitution and took place at Bhagyanagar Bus Stop and under the KPHB Metro Station, Kukatpally. It was conducted by teams from the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), SHE Teams, and the Law & Order teams of Kukatpally and KPHB Police Stations, Cyberabad, under the supervision of the DCP, Balanagar Zone K. Suresh Kumar, Cyberabad. participated in the operation. As a result of the operation, 31 women and 4 transgender individuals involved in street prostitution were apprehended. Four cases were registered at the Kukatpally Police Station and one case was registered at KPHB Police Station under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.

The apprehended individuals are being presented before the Tahsildar, Kukatpally Mandal, for a bind-over to ensure good behavior. After completing the bind-over procedure, they will be released with notices issued under Section 35 of the BNSS Act. (Maxim News)
