The arrest took place during a routine security operation, which authorities regularly conduct in border districts. Such checks aim to prevent illegal activities, including the movement of fake Indian currency across borders. Meanwhile, officials stressed that alertness at entry points remains crucial, especially in sensitive border areas like Rautahat district.

After their arrest, the two Bihar residents were handed over to the District Police Office in Rautahat for further investigation.
