Hyderabad, August 29: A 26 year old NEET PG aspirant allegedly died by suicide in Hyderabad on Saturday, August 29.
The woman, a native of Andhra Pradesh, had completed her MBBS. She was preparing for the NEET PG exam for seven months.
She allegedly consumed an unknown poisonous substance inside her room at a private hostel. She was scheduled to appear for the examination on Sunday.
NEET PG Aspirant Found Unconscious in Hostel
According to police, a suicide note was recovered from her room. In the note, she reportedly said she had suffered from depression since Classes 11 and 12.
However, she did not mention the NEET PG examination in the note, police said. She was also undergoing treatment for depression.
Police said she spoke to her father on Saturday morning. He told her that they would visit her and take her to the exam centre.
Later, she stopped answering his calls. Her father then contacted the hostel staff and asked them to check on her.
The staff found her unconscious in the room and shifted her to a hospital. However, doctors declared her brought dead.
Police registered a case at Chikkadapally police station and launched an investigation.
