47 candidates remain in the fray in the Munugodu by-poll

Hyderabad, Oct.17 (NSS): A total of 47 candidates have remained in the fray in the Munugodu Assembly constituency by-election after the conclusion of the last day for the withdrawal of the nominations.

A total of 130 candidates filed 199 nominations in the by-election. However, the Election Commission authorities rejected the nomination papers of 47 candidates. Of the remaining 83 candidates, 36 candidates have withdrawn their nomination papers.

The bye-election will be held on November 3. The key contest is between the ruling TRS, Congress, and BJP in the by-election. (NSS)
