Five Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s followers were arrested on the charges of setting Malout Railway Station in Mukhtasar district of Punjab afire.The followers, who were protesting against the conviction of the Dera chief in a rape case, were arrested yesterday.
SSP, Mukatsar Sahib, Sushil Kumar, said that five of the seven accused have been arrested. Preliminary investigation revealed that two other accused, who are yet to be arrested include Jaswinder Singh Jassa. According to SSP, the arrested include Anil Kumar, Kuldeep Singh, Satpal, Harcharn Singh and Gorkha. They were arrested under Sections 307,436,427,506,148,149,452, and 511 of the IPC and 34 of the Explosives Act 1984 and Public Property Prevention Act.
