Hyderabad, June 18 (Maxim News): The Eagle Force has launched a major operation against an interstate gang supplying ganja to Telangana. As part of this operation, the authorities have seized 500 kg of ganja being transported from Odisha.
The Eagle Force team chased a Bolero vehicle for about 80 km from Balimela in Odisha to Jaipur. The vehicle was stopped in a forest area, but the driver fled from there. Later, when the vehicle was checked, 115 packets of ganja were found. Of the seized ganja, 90 packets were found to be 5 kg each and another 25 packets were found to be 2 kg each. The Bolero vehicle along with the ganja was handed over to the Koraput police in Odisha.
The police have registered a case under the NDPS Act and started an investigation into the incident. The seized vehicle was found to be registered in the name of Aamir Ali Khan from Nabarangpur district of Odisha. In 2024, the Eagle Force carried out a similar operation and chased him to Ranchi and seized 500 kg of ganja. The Odisha Police congratulated the Eagle Force team for the latest high-risk operation.
