Governor to CS, Raj Bhavan Is Nearer Than Delhi
Governor | Hyderabad, Mar 3 (Maxim News): Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan expressed her displeasure over the State government approaching the Supreme Court alleging that she was not approving the bills sent to her.
In a tweet, the Governor took potshots at Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari saying that Raj Bhavan is nearer than Delhi.
The tweet said Dear @TelanganaCS Rajbhavan is nearer than Delhi. assuming office as Chief Secretary you did not find time to visit Rajbhavan officially.

It is to mention here that, the State government on Thursday filed a Writ petition in the Supreme Court seeking directions to Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to approve 10 key bills which have been pending with her for more than six months.
The petition is likely to come up for hearing after the Holi festival. The Chief Secretary filed the Writ petition on behalf of the State government where the Governor has been named as the respondent.
Some of these bills are kept pending in the Raj Bhavan and are not being cleared by the Governor.
The State government has decided to approach the Supreme Court seeking directions to the Governor on the approval of the bills.
It is known that in its Supreme Court petition, the Telangana government said that it is constrained to move the top court in view of a very frequent constitutional impasse created on account of the refusal of the Governor of the state of Telangana to act on several bills passed by the state legislature. These bills are pending since September 14, 2022, for the Governor’s assent. (Maxim News)
