Two Days IJU National Working Group Meeting At Chandigarh From March 18

Hyderabad, March 14 (Maxim News) Indian Journalist Union (IJU) National president K. Srinivas Reddy said that the National Working Group meeting of the Union will be held in Chandigarh for two days commencing from March 18.  

In a statement, Srinivas Reddy said that the members of the National Working Committee from 24 states will participate, the president and general secretaries of the respective states, issues relating to the media and the welfare of working journalists, the amendment of the provisions of the law proposed by the Central government regarding social media, the promotion of wage revision in the press industry in the name of labor code, the eroding trust of the society in the media, etc. will be discussed. 

He said that action will be taken to implement the resolutions of the tenth plenary meeting held in Chennai.  He also said that IJU is making an appeal to the “Save Journalism” call that was raised across the country. 

Srinivas Reddy said that Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Legislative Assembly Speaker Kulthar singh Sandhwan, Finance Minister Harpal singh Cheema, Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, and others will attend the two-day meetings as guests.  (Maxim News)
