Leasing ORR Is The Biggest Scam Of KCR,  Rs. 1000 Cr Changed Hands: Revanth 

Hyderabad, April 29 (Maxim News): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President, Revanth Reddy alleged that the biggest scam in the country has surfaced in the Telangana state under the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao in the leasing of the Outer Ring Road (ORR).  He alleged that Rs. 1,000 crore changed hands in the lease transaction.  

Addressing the press conference at Gandhi Bhavan today, Revanth Reddy said, the ORR which is estimated to grow at least 10 percent annually, with an income of at least Rs. 30 thousand crores has been pledged to the Mumbai Company for Rs. 7,380 crores  He pointed out that initially Rs. 10 thousand crores of income will come through lease, later, he said Rs. 8-9 crores.  Now 

 He said that initially, 10 thousand crores of income will come through the lease. Later he said Rs. 8-9 thousand crores. Now Rs.7380 crores have been received. Revanth Reddy asked what is the hidden agenda in this matter.

The entire matter relating to the ORR lease was under the supervision of Somesh Kumar. Signed by Arvind Kumar. The incoming government will review any decisions taken six months before the government steps down. KTR, Somesh Kumar and Arvind Kumar are committing extortion in this case.

  He said that the Congress party will not accept this decision under any circumstances. This matter is being looked into deeply. When we come to power, we will first investigate them. He warned that the management will also have to go to jail in this regard. Revanth Reddy stated that the Congress party will review all the decisions of Somesh Kumar, Arvind Kumar and Jayesh Ranjan. Revanth Reddy demanded that it be clarified which companies have collected the ORR toll from 2018 and whether it was tied to them in the form of tender or nomination.

For the last four years, the ORR toll has been tied to Eagle Infra. ORR collects a 2 crore toll per day. KTR has committed corruption on a large scale by extending it year after year without the need for a tender. The KTR alliance used the Outer Ring Road as a source of income. Former CS Somesh Kumar, HMDA Commissioner Arvind Kumar and Jayesh Ranjan have contributed to this. Revanth said that Kateer’s family thought of using this income permanently. He alleged that they decided to commit 30 years to a private company under the Toll Operate Transfer (TOT) system, realizing that there would be no profit for their family. The outer ring road has been pledged to KTR Pvt. In a way, Revanth faulted the government for selling the ring road, which generates thousands of crores of revenue, to the private sector.

Revanth Reddy questioned why the BJP is silent on such decisions taken by the state government. He stated that if KCR is selling people’s property then why Bandi Sanjay and Kishan Reddy are not responding? BJP leaders should also respond on this issue.

After Congress came to power in 2004, an international airport was built in the state. Outer Ring Road has been built as a symbol of the city of Hyderabad. For this Rs. 6696 crores had been spent by the previous state government. Congress constructed the Outer Ring Road with international standards. He commented that they are investing in Telangana… Airport and Outer Ring Road are standard.

Every vehicle coming to Hyderabad has to touch the ORR. Revanth expressed his grief that with the decision to lease the ORR, the people could not use the Outer Ring Road. Revanth said that the flexibility to increase the toll charges is tied to the toll agency. Investment means setting up new infrastructure. But he criticized the government’s approach saying that the government is taking advantage of what is available and using it as an investment.

Revanth Reddy commented that he will complain to all investigating agencies including ED, CBI and Central Vigilance on the tender procedures. In fact, earlier it was seen to be tied to Adam. He alleged that the Mumbai company was given bail in the wake of the allegations. Revanth demanded that the HMDA officials should reveal who has been given the responsibility of toll collection since 2018. Revanth Reddy asked why there is a need to sell the Outer Ring Road, which is needed by the people. (Maxim News)
